Cloud - ZDC (Freehand Cloud) and ZDP Point to Point Cloud) (new in Version 6.0.1.3 Update)
The ZDC tool creates freehand clouds where the ZDP too creates clouds that are in straight lines aligning the end points of the arcs.
To run the cloud tools, you can click the Scalz menu and select the tool you can type 'ZDC' or ZDP to start he tool.
Then...Follow the prompts...
ZDC (Freehand Clouds) - First, using the left mouse button, click anywhere on the screen you would like to start drawing a cloud, then move the mouse and a cloud will start to be drawn. To finish, stop short of closing your cloud and click your left mouse button again. Your cloud will be automatically closed for you. You can also draw clouds that are not closed by doing a "Pen Up" (PU) when you are done drawing a cloud. We have supplied a right click menu called "DrawCloud.pop" for this "Pen Up".
ZDP (Point to Point Clouds) First, using the left mouse button, click anywhere on the screen you would like to start drawing a cloud, then move the mouse and a cloud will start to be drawn form the first point to your cursor. Left click to finish a line of arcs. Using this tool, you must use "snaps" to close your clouds.
If you move in a counter clockwise direction, your cloud will be "exploded" If you move clockwise from the start; you will draw an "imploded" cloud using either tool.
1) You have control over the Line Type used to draw your clouds
2) You can set any of the entity properties under [Clouds] to a "-1" value to enable Scalz to use the current settings in your drawing world. For example, the settings below will draw clouds with your current Line Color and Layer, but will be drawn using a Line Type of "0" and Width of "1".
[Clouds]
LineColor= -1
LineWidth=1
LineType=0
Layer=-1
Multiplier=2
The size of the arcs in a cloud is based on the current Text Height in your Drawing. As your text gets larger, so do the arcs. You can control the size of your arcs as they relate to your text height using the "Multiplier" in the Scalz.ini. The equation for your minimum arc size is TextHeight * Multiplier.
You have control over the color of a cloud, the width of the line with which they are drawn, and the layer on which they are placed. You can change these settings in the Scalz.ini file.
[Clouds]
LineColor=12
LineWidth=1
LineType=0
Layer=5
Multiplier=2
This tool can take advantage of the Visual CADD V5 "Group" feature. This means the entities created by this tool can automatically be made into a "Group" so they can all be selected at 1 time (as a group) by selecting any single entity in the group. The settings for this are on the User Setup Dialog (ZZZ).
